I’m a mom of 3 boys living in rural America (hmm, perhaps that’s where I got the blog name from!- I’m so clever!)  I’m just learning about blogging but I hope to have recipes, helpful hints (for the home, kids, etc), and I’m sure that I’ll have a few venting pages stemming from what can sometimes be a crazy life.  I hope that I will grow in my faith and encourage others in the process.

Well, thank you for adding me in your blog roll as well! 🙂 And thank you for your comment. I’m glad you like my writing. I just got onto wordpress and I’m trying to find some others around here with like minds… so I was happy when I found you. I think your ID and tag line got my attention and then I liked the first post I read. So here we are… 🙂

Hello – I found you originally because I was looking for leftover rice recipes (thankyou, I found some good ones!), then I became hooked on reading the rest of your content….I live in rural England, so my life is probably a little bit different from yours (and some of the products you mentioned we just don’t get here). I have 4 children, one is 17 and at high school, one is 14 and is severely autistic, and I home educate the 11 and 8 year olds. I don’t get much “me time” as you can imagine, but I did take some time out to read everyone’s thoughts, and I shall be checking in again frequently to read some more. I am so grateful for the internet, it gives me the opportunity to join in and feel that I finally belong to a women’s group! Best wishes to you all.

Wonderful to hear from you Diane! My husbands ancestors are English. I promised him I would not divulge any personal information that could I.D. me so I can’t share our name but it’s always exciting to hear from someone from across the ocean!! I’ve had a couple Aussie’s visit here too! I just love that the internet can allow people from so far apart to connect through written words. It’s just so cool!!

I’m so glad so many people are visiting my leftover rice recipe page! I get tons of hits on that article- I never dreamed it would be so popular. Being from a rural area you probably were already familiar with the how to’s of my other popular article- Buying Meat Direct from the Farm.

There are many homeschool groups online too. If you are not a part of one, I can checkwith a friend who homeschools and see if there is a good one she would recommend. Have a wonderful day! Don’t forget to tell your children you love them!!

  4. Bit late to this conversation! but i’ve just realised i’m on your blogroll – many thanx :0) I look in from time to time and somehow seem to be collecting Aussie friends both online and IRL. Haven’t been keeping up with *anyone* terribly well, this last few months, but doing my best!

Diane – if you see this – i’m in Wiltshire, UK, so maybe we’re not so far apart?
